Team Around the School (TAS) and Early Help
At our school, we believe that children thrive best when families and professionals work together. The Team Around the School (TAS) and Early Help approach is designed to offer timely, coordinated support for children and families when challenges arise.
Early Help means identifying concerns as soon as possible and putting support in place before difficulties become bigger. This may include support with learning, attendance, behaviour, emotional well-being, or family circumstances.
The Team Around the School brings together key people who know your child well. This may include school staff, parents/carers, and where appropriate, other professionals such as health visitors, educational psychologists, SEND services, or family support workers. By working together, we can agree on shared goals and practical actions that best support your child.
Parents and carers are central to this process. You will always be involved in discussions, decisions, and planning, and your views and knowledge of your child are valued at every step.
Our aim is to provide the right help, at the right time, in a supportive and non-judgemental way—helping children feel safe, confident, and ready to learn.
If you would like more information or feel your family may benefit from Early Help support, please speak to a member of the school team. We are here to help.
